VOLUNTEER!
We'd love to have your help in creating this experience.  If you're interested in lending a hand, please sign up here.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

It's January in the Pacific Northwest, folks.  Do we know what we're doing?  YES.  And we believe in awesome attitudes, resilience, thermals, layers and rain gear.  Show off the umbrella you never use.  Bring your own camp chair, waterproof hat, muck boots, light yourself up and come have a little fun in the rain.

WILL THERE BE FOOD?

Food trucks from OVN and Outpost Eats! Also, hot cocoa and wassail libation items will be available for purchase.   No alcohol will be served at this event.

WHAT IF IT IS REAL WET OUT, LIKE REALLY RAINING?

Yep, we're planning for rain!  We will have four fabulously curated tented and DRY zones with heat lamps, but we won't judge where you decide to hang out.

WHO WILL BE TELLING STORIES?

See our 2024 Lineup here.  These artists were selected based on a variety of stories and performances which align with Paper Whale's values in uplifting a diversity of voices that represent the place we live.

ACCESSIBILITY
The Waterfront site is an unimproved area and transitioning toward future development. This means the site is rocky and may pose mobility challenges.  The Port of Bellingham and Paper Whale are making efforts to accommodate ADA parking, access to food/beverage, ADA restrooms and two fires.  Including the SONG stage which will be the longest performing fire at this event.

WHY DOES THE EVENT END SO EARLY?

Frankly, we don't stay up as late as we used to.  Fear not the early night, our friends at the Bellingham Folk Festival are hosting an entire evening of music in half a dozen venues, just a 10-minute walk away!
