Windows Alive
A collaboration with the WWU Department of Design Senior-level BFA program, Paper Whale explores temporary and vibrant solutions to downtown storefront windows. These visual representations of design will be visible to both visitors and the public, fostering engagement and further lingering of visitors during the transitional period of vacancy.

Sunset Alley
The transformation of a two-block alley in downtown Bellingham - creating a vibrant space for creative placemaking and cultural community engagement. Working hand-in-hand with adjacent businesses, we aim to weave a thread of colorful, dynamic artwork that connects the Bay St. Plaza to one of the city's best sunset views.

The Lakeway Mural
Drawing inspiration from the success of the Noisy Water Mural Festival, Paper
Whale endeavors to establish Downtown Bellingham as the premier hub for mural
artistry in the Pacific Northwest. Launching in Summer 2025, we present a large mural for the Interstate 5 and Lakeway underpass as a key cultural invitation for visitors entering downtown.

Railroad Parking Garage Mural
Selected as a prize wall from the 2024 Noisy Waters Mural Festival, Paper Whale embarks on a landmark feature for an underutilized parking garage in Downtown Bellingham. To create a landmark for visitors driving into our commercial district, let's make it beautiful.
