EARTH PRACTICE LIVE RECORDING @ THE ROOST

Join Earth Practice for a one-of-a-kind evening of song and celebration in our hometown of Bellingham, WA.

After six years of singing together, our DIY song collective has decided to release our first batch of recorded music in the form of a live house show! We will be hosted by the Roost, a magical local house show venue in town.

In attending this event, you will be part of a large choir of voices. Our desire is to create recordings imbued with the vibrancy, realness and community-powered energy of so many of our shows. You do not need to be a professional singer to join,  just bring your willing voice with some patience for the process. We will close out the evening with snacks, tea service (during and after) and backyard hangs. Celebration & Gratitude!

This event is a fundraiser, and we invite our community to help us raise the funds to make this longtime dream possible. If you have the means to give generously, we welcome the extra flow.  $30-$100 sliding scale.

• Doors at 5:30pm - connect, settle, land.  Show starts at 6:00pm sharp.  It all ends by 9:00pm.
• Limited space available. We’re capping this event at 60 people.
• Please keep in mind that this show will be audio and video recorded for future release.
• Respectfully, no Littles this time, please. (What constitutes a Little?  Well, use your discretion. If you are confident your kid would not just tolerate but enjoy an entire evening like this, including following cues for quiet as needed during the recording process, then get them a ticket and we welcome their voice!).
• BYO cushion! Hardwood floor seating, w/ some standing-room options.
• Shoe check at the door (bring comfortable socks)
• No pets, please.
• If you need to bring food, we’ll ask you to eat outside. Please consider the most mess-free option and/or eating an early dinner before the show.
• Masks are optional. Please do not come if you are sick at all.  Covid testing before arrival is helpful.
• If you have access needs (i.e. no stairs, need for seating), please reach out to us at blissisordinary@gmail.com at least one week before the show so we can make an accommodation plan.
• We will close out the evening with snacks, tea service (during & after) and a warm bowl of rice and dal to eat in the yard or take on your way home. Celebration & Gratitude!
