The experimental reboot of the Rising Tide Speaker Series returns on May 8 with Christian Zenga and Benny Zenga—two brothers whose work in kinetic sculpture explores how experimentation, community, and hands-on experience can transform both space and perspective.
Before the keynote, settle in with live music from the Buddy Mac Band, a surprise co-host, and our Small Wins segment—inspiring stories from community members turning creative ideas into real-world impact.
Stick around after the presentation as Heather Haugland of the Honky Tonk Social Club gets you moving with a quick, introductory dance lesson in 2-step and swing—then put it into practice during an extended set with the Buddy Mac Band. No partner or experience needed.
Tickets by donation, from $10. The after party is open to the public, with pay-what-you-can entry at the door—no advance tickets available.
